Main factors affecting dissolved oxygen
1. Water temperature
When the oxygen partial pressure and salt content are constant, the saturation content of dissolved oxygen will decrease with the increase of water temperature. The saturation of dissolved oxygen varies more with temperature at low temperature.
2. Salt content
When the water temperature and oxygen partial pressure are constant, the higher the salt content in water, the lower the saturation content of dissolved oxygen in water. The salt content in seawater is much higher than that in fresh water. Under the same conditions, the dissolved oxygen saturation in seawater is much lower than that in fresh water. The change of salt content in natural fresh water is very small, so the influence of salt content on the saturation of dissolved oxygen in fresh water is very small, which can be approximately estimated according to the saturation of pure water.
3. Oxygen partial pressure
When the salt content of water temperature is constant, the saturated salt content of dissolved oxygen increases with the increase of surface oxygen partial pressure.
